Yikes what a depressing read! Lead female stays in a 4-year relationship walking on egg-shells and a tight rope with her older OCD boyfriend. I'm not sure if she ever stood up for herself or her feelings once in the story. More disturbing get to the end and based on author's true life. Walked away not feeling HEA at all. I guess to each their own, but don't expect to walk away from this book with a warm and fuzzy true love feeling.

Dangled Carat Hilary Grossman 9780615860350 Books Reviews

I prefer to not read books with sex written into the story. The story up to the 4th or 5th chapter was ok. He is 40 and she is 27 when they meet. They date for 4 years and she is more than ready for marriage. He has issues with commitment. Sad story to me. He loves her but not enough to marry. Did not finish after the big fondling scene on first date.
A great book about finding !love through the strangest of says and having it work. Marc is older than Hilary, he never thought he would marry. Surprised happen.
One of the worst books I've read. Terrible cliché writing with no finesse and awful editing (full of grammatical errors and word usage mistakes). Annoying and inauthentic characters to boot. Don't waste your time.
The story was okay. The dialog was odd. It’s almost as if it was written by someone in their third language, very stilted. Or as if it were translated from a foreign language. Some places used contractions (we’d, wouldn’t, etc.) then the next paragraph used the full words (we would, would not) which made the dialog stilted. In one place it actually said “It’s has” as if the author could not figure out which to use.
I rarely write reviews unless it really merits it. Please don’t waste your time reading this book. As another reviewer mentioned, I just kept waiting for something to happen, but it was just rambling and pathetic. I guess I’m glad she got the guy in the end but it was excruciating to slog through. Thankfully I received this book for free!
Her relationship was sad and she came across as very codependent and even says she ‘walks on eggshells’ around her boyfriend, now husband. Who in their right mind would want to be in a relationship like that?! So unhealthy.
Not only was the story line ridiculous, the writing was terrible. I just wanted a pen in my hand so I could edit it. Thank god I got it for free; I would be upset if I spent money on this. I kept reading thinking it had to get better but I shouldn't have wasted my time. I don't understand how this book got so many good reviews. There's no way they're from people who actually read this. I review a lot, and I've never given a book one star. In this case, it's more than deserved. Nothing happened. The main character didn't grow. She settled. Hilary came across as incredibly weak, insecure, and one-dimensional. Marc was a jerk. It came across as an unhealthy relationship. The book would have been marginally better if they hadn't ended up together. But turns out this is based on the authors real life, which makes it even more ridiculous. Don't buy this. Don't waste your money.
Dangled Carat by Hilary Grossman is one sensational read. Readers everywhere will be pulled in like a moth to a flame. This funny and romantic story will lead readers on a journey. A journey that takes them deep into the lives of one very interesting couple. Women know men delay when it comes to full committment, but then imagine the struggles for the man who is afraid of committment. His girlfriend fights with the emotions and the hardships with being attached to a man who needs time to take on the full committment train ride. Unlike most men, the one who fears it the most, shows his love and care the most to his woman. Then there's how fast they both connected with one another. Talking and just beiing together is easy, but like every other woman, Hilary wants the next level to happen. The suspense of that ever happening makes this the most exciting novel yet. Hilary Grossman has the talentin taking her readers striaght from their seats and deep into the heart of her fictional world. Fiction with the most realistics issues any couple faces all beautifully woven into a hilarious and sweet read.

Dangled Carat is a story of how one woman meets a man who instantly becomes her boyfriend. Their connection is strong enough to drag readers right onto the pages. All it took was a sister-in-law to ask a question and then later meeting up again. This time the new going to be soon couple meet. Talking comes easy and soon others around them notice their attraction. Family wants them together and as time pushes on, they try to push the couple forward into a happily ever after beginning. However, the man is afraid to accept right into a committed relationship. His girlfirend understands and tries to be patient. Soon her patience wears down and emotions are flying across everywhere. Yet, despite it all, her man is always there for her and always cares. Is he the one for her or is she wasting her time with a man who may never be able to committ? Overall, I highly recommend this romance to readers everywhere. The conflicts are easy to relate to and the characters will leave readers laughing and crying throughout the novel. I definitely look forward to reading more by Hilary Grossman in the futre.
